What is Learn the Ropes?

 

A lot of people have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but we think it's fair to say that the highest on that list are children. Especially low income children. Low income children face many problems when transitioning into middle school. They struggle to keep up with the work given to them, they don't know how to organize themselves, pace their work, and keep a healthy mental mindset in the process. These problems might seem trivial, but in the future, they can be very harmful. This is a problem that needs to be solved.

 

Enter Learn the Ropes! Learn the Ropes is an organization that recognizes this problem and gives low income children the guidance and extra help they need in order to have a successful academic year. Read more about them below!

Learn the Ropes is a non-profit organization based in NYC that offers free online mentoring and tutoring for students K-9. We are here to give advice and tutoring services to make sure every child gets the support they need and access to it as well. Our mission is to bridge the gap in the education system in America, as well as globally in the future!We believe everyone deserves to have quality education and truthful information given to them; no matter race, gender, or socioeconomic class. We are still in the process of growing and it would mean a lot to us if you joined our team. Help us make a difference in the education system and in children's lives!

Our Collaboration

Learn the Ropes and OMOLOW will be sending 150 packages to low income school districts in New York. These packages will include a mask and a brochure that includes tips on how to succeed in school. They will be distributed among the kids attending school there and will help them be better prepared for middle school, as well as, keep them safe!
